It depends on how long your project is and where it'll play and for how long.  PLUS the skill level of the person you hire.

You can't look at it as "Hey, it'll take only five minutes to read."  Your doctor might only spend a few minutes with you but you are paying for his knowledge and experience.  You don't pay by the minute.

Great voiceover talents bring a special sense of reality to your copy.  Bad ones sound like insincere hucksters.
