This can happen for a couple of reasons. The flash player on your computer may not be working properly or have crashed. The browser may have suffered a software failure and need to be restarted. Or the file itself may be corrupt or using an incorrect file format that is not playable via the flash player.

To test this, go to the search engine and try playing other demos listed there. If other demos play on the site but your preview audition will not, the problem is most likely the file. If none of the files play, it's most likely the browser or the flash player on your computer.
