I guess the answer depends on whether you're on a Mac or PC. I'm not sure exactly what you mean by page information (numbers?), but when I want to grab text for an audition and keep it up on my screen in a format that will also allow space for my recording program, without having to jockey back and forth between windows, I open the original document, copy the text and paste it into "Text Edit" (an application in my Mac). The Text Edit program resizes the text to a narrower box, if I want it as a sidebar to my recording program. I'm not sure if this answers your question.

a docx file extension meas it is microsoft word 2007. you need Office 2007 in order to open it. go to microsoft website and download the word 2007 "viewer" this is free, and alows you to view word 2007 without buying 2007.
