It really varies.  I find that a VAST majority of jobs that want you will book you within 2 days.  But there are still those that make take up to a month to sort through auditions and make a decision.  I usually sort through my "Answered" files and delete anything closed, over 2 weeks without a listen. I delete anything listened-to, but not "liked" after a month.  At the end of two months from the close date, I delete the others that were "liked" as well, since they're likely no longer viable.  If they're not at all interested, you'll usually get no response, although a very few clients will send a courtesy "no, thank you" letter.  Don't worry about an audition, once you've posted it.  Just keep moving forward.

I once had a voice seeker give my audition a listen and then contact me six months later to tell me I got the gig! Before that happened I would delete a submission after about a month. Now, I wait six months if the audition has been listened to before deleting it.
