This web site might not be the best tool for people who have limited time or access to recording equipment. I have only found success by auditioning within 10 minutes of when a job is posted. If I see that more than 40 people have already submitted an audition then I delete the post and wait for the next. It's a risk I choose to take but I get really bummed when I do what I consider a terrific audition only to see the job COMPLETED without my audition ever having been heard. I'm picky about what I audition for so I try to increase my chances by matching my strengths to the job and getting in quickly. Others may take a different approach.
There are pay-to-play sites where response time is not as critical for the voice job seeker. You should investigate them to see if they meet your needs. Good luck. This game ain't easy.
