The best was to slate is to state your name and the name of the project at the beginning of your audition.
You would say: "Joel Ballard, for [insert client's name here]"
You may also want to name your submitted audio file with the job number and your first initial and last name.
You could say: "Joel Ballard, auditioning for Job 67323 on Voices.com"
Some clients do have the ability to download your audition files and send them to clients and colleagues. This is why we do recommend slating, so that your actual name does not get lost in the shuffle and they know where to come back and hire you from.
We hope this helps!
