What should I be asking for a Contracted Position with multiple projects?

I have worked as the voice over artist for a Theme Park for a number of years now, but it has always been as a side-bar to my normal job and hourly rate.  Now I no longer work hourly for the company, but they would like to contract me as their resident Voice Over Artist.  This would include narration of a 35 minute movie to be viewed in the park, various in park announcements and advertisements, safety spiels for all rides in the park, show spiels for all theaters, phone system information updates, and other projects as they come up.  They are asking how much I am asking for the contract to begin negotiations, and I have no idea where to start.  Any advice or information would be greatly appreciated.

Well - I think you should charge per-project based on the type of project.  It will also depend on whether they want you to record it in your house or theirs!  If it's just walking in and talking (they do all the editing), then estimate how long it will take to do each project, based on your past experience.  A 35 minute movie takes a lot more time than a safety spiel for example.  You can create a menu of projects and prices or you can do a per-session fee, but you really need to consider the length of what you'll record.  For example, you could charge a $300 session fee for up to "x" number of pages and charge a per-hour fee after that (for a longer project).  Good luck and congrats on the upgrade!
