Do I really need a Neumann microphone?

My go to mic at this point is a Shure KSM 32. It gets high praise from many... and to my ears its character compares favorably with a number of the high end mics that cost twice as much.

Still this little voice in the back of my mind keeps saying... "yeh it sounds good but it's not a Neumann."

So is a Neumann really necessary to compete with the big boys and girls in the voice over universe?

What say you?

thanks

Is there a noticeable difference with a Grace preamp for VO work?

I have a dbx preamp and have used it for years without issue, but am thinking of raising my game in the gear department. Before I spend on a Grace preamp, which costs about $600, I thought I'd throw the question out to the community.

What mic would you recommend to complement a Shure KSM-32?

My primary mic at this point is a Shure KSM-32 condenser.
It's smooth, warm and accurate and I have no problem with it for most reads... but am looking for another (different sounding) mic (condenser) that has a "crisper" quality... with a little more high freq presence for certain reads.

I tried an EV RE20 and it seems that dynamic mics require so much gain boost that they introduce too much noise into the signal chain... so don't think I'd go with a dynamic mic.

Would appreciate any suggestions... thanks

Best overall system for a new voiceover set up?

Your assistance is appreciated. Iam researching on what would be the best overall software, equipment, other that would be cost effective, works very well for a start up voice over system. Also is there a web page that I can go to that may have used stuff. I do not want to set up a full studio but to set up a nice office system that would work well now and in the future. I work off of a microsoft/pc and not a mac/apple. Thank you for your help and advise.
