Quality Retail Spots that worked
I worked with this client for ten years, and during that time, their sales curve was steadily up. The producer described the type of commercials we were doing as "listener friendly."
Commercial Characters
The second spot on this demo was created in 1991 and was my first paid gig. The client liked it so well that it ran for two years.
Skelly Manor's Memories
This demo is part of a monologue in Lanford Wilson's play, "Rimers of Eldtrich." I was cast in the play by two different theatre companies, and in the second one I played the role of Skelly Manor, a crusty old man who reflects personally on the town's history from his own perspective.
Instructive Narration
The text for this demo was lifted from a computer software manual created by Master Systems in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Two Voice Commercials
This is just one type of father. It is a first cut in a training session working with a woman I had never met and have not met since.
The Real Bud
In addition to doing voice work, I am also a writer. The first cut on this demo is a commercial I wrote while in voice training with Susan & Friends in San Francisco. The second one ran very briefly on several San Francisco radio stations in the week preceeding the opening of new streetcar lines.
Travel Narratives
The narrative on Montana was created by ZAN Media in the San Francisco area to go with a slide show. Sort of a John Wayne approach.
Grocery Retail
These 30 second commercials ran briefly in 1993.
Graeser Winery in the Napa Valley
This film was created to encourage wine tasters in the Napa Valley of California to drive two miles off the obvious roadside wineries.
Willy Metcalf
A reading recorded in a voice actors class in San Francisco with Susan & Friends.
