Before we connect the Nexia unit, we need to make sure we have a unique IP address assigned to your computer. To do this, right click on “My Network Places”, select “Properties”, then right click on “Local Area Connection”, select properties again. Instead, use 192.168.1.x where x equals a number between 1 to 254, except 101 which is the number that is assigned to the Nexia unit. I’m going to use “1” since it will be easy for me to remember.
