Job Description
Many thanks to all of you who have already responded: what a fantastic tool this site is for finding voice talent!

I did not realise just how quick or efficient it would be, so I have been a little unprepared at my end.

I need to refine the brief slightly: I need to find a voice that reflects the destination, so I am really looking for a South African Accent for the piece.

script extract only: full script will be released to successful talent only.

MVO: Whoever said that the best things come in small packages must have been talking about Cape Town. Despite its huge historical significance and cultural diversity it is, as cities go, tiny. Yet either in it or just outside it, you’ll find everything the human heart and soul could desire.

To give you an idea, Cape Town has a thriving film industry. That’s because there are locations around the city that look just like New York. Or the Bahamas. Or the South of France, or the Scottish highlands. Busy streets, quaint cobbled ones, gorgeous beaches, mountains, forests and vineyards; they’re all here.

As are so many other things, so let’s start with Cape Town’s most famous landmark – Table Mountain. You can, apparently walk to the summit but why bother when there’s a perfectly good cable car? One you get to the top and walk around, you can’t help but feel calm, serene and at one with the world. This really is one of those deeply spiritual places on earth. And I speak as one of the most deeply un-spiritual people on earth.

You can gaze down at Robben Island where Nelson Mandela and countless others were imprisoned. It’s now a museum. If you can spare three and a half hours, take the ferry over from the Victoria & Albert Dock and do the full tour. You won’t regret it. It’s fascinating and a trip to Cape Town would seem incomplete without it.
