"I would like you to meet Wime. Wime is a unique digital life form that was born inside a computer. We, the life engineers of something Inc, call these life forms glupods. There are many glupods but there is only one Wime.

Now, I would like you to meet two humans. There is Katrina an analyst in NYC, and there is Melina, an 8 year old girl from Brazil. Melina is poor, and some nights, she is too poor and her stomach hurts.

Katrina has just heard about glupod.com, a game that allows players to change the real world. So, she visits glupod.com and brings Wime home, to her computer. Katrina and Wime have fun together by playing online against other glupods to earn glucs, the currency of life. But Wime is unhappy to keep the glucs to himself forever. So, Katrina selects Melina among many children, for Wime to sponsor. Now Katrina and Wime together can turn the glucs they earn into food, shelter and books that will be delivered to Melina. Now Melina is not so poor, because Wime takes care of her, and some nights, Melina smiles at the thought: that there is an angel out there whose name is Wime."
