I've gotten a lot of proposals, but am not crazy about many of them. I think you all are talented and provided what I asked for, but now that I have heard it I don't think it works very well. I am new to this and didn't spend enough time thinking about and communicating exactly what I wanted. If you are interested in providing a proposal anyway, I now think the voice should sound like a mother talking to her kids who are around age 8. Soft and loving but firm. Maybe a little understanding that it is tough for the kids to get off the computer. Very natural sounding. Not dramatic or fake. This is a different than what I specified below in my original job posting.

I just need about 5-7 short recorded phrases for some software - less than 1 minute of total time.
Here is a description of the project:
I’m working on a small shareware software product that allows parents to set time limits for their kids on the computer. The software gives audible verbal reminders to the kids letting them know when there are 30 minutes, 15 min, 5 min, and 1 min left. For example, when there are 5 min left, the software will speak “5 minutes leftâ€
I assume the voice should be female (high pitch) so that it is easy for the kids to hear it over the sounds of an immersive video game. The “personality†of the voice should be somewhat flat and business-like, because the voice will be heard over and over again.
The files should be in .WAV format. It is a downloaded application so the files should be as small as possible but still very good quality. I am looking into whether I can play .mp3 for smaller file size.
It would be great if you could send me a sample saying:
"5 minutes left"
"Times up!"
"You are out of time. Please close all programs and log off now."
