Kimberly M. Roberts wears many hats and she wears them well- Voice Over Talent, South Carolina Artist-in-residence, teacher, professional percussionist, children’s book author, and small business owner. She is focused, professional, and knows what it takes to get the job done.
She’s a pleasure to work with and takes direction beautifully. Her almost 20 years as a professional percussionist is a huge asset when it comes to rhythm and timing. Her many years as a teacher makes her a natural when it comes to delivering a message while being motivating, believable, and genuine. As a small business owner, she knows how important it is to be a dependable team player when you have project deadlines. As a performer in a Caribbean steel band, she knows how to be edgy, energetic, and fun. Kimberly brings a wealth of life experiences to every project.
For her first official VO job, she was asked to do character voicing for a short story featuring a spunky, atheist teenager and an 80 year old, Southern zealot in a heated argument about the afterlife. The odd pair finally resolves their differences after a dog gets run over by a car!
(Fortunately, the dog lived and they loved Kimberly's voice.)
