Jim Edgar

While physically located in the San Francisco Bay Area, my voice has been heard in many places throughout the world.

I've provided broadcast-ready voice tracks for radio and television commercials, narrations, web videos, eLearning and animated and video game characters.

My basic vocal tone is warm and mid-range - great for caring or conversational spokesperson; Intelligent, knowledgeable and approachable - the helpful teaching expert for training needs or educational and technical narrations.

For your video games and animated adventures, I can provide countless characters to love or hate - from over-the-top mad scientists and caffeinated nerds to more focused and dangerous folk to populate the universe of your imagined world.

I regularly deliver quality audio on time or better, and am always happy to provide auditions specific to your script.

Service Description

I deliver quality audio which meets or exceeds deadline requirements. What you hear in my custom audition is recorded in my Macintosh OSX-based digital recording studio. You will receive fast, clean audio.

Unless specified otherwise, quoted prices are for voice-only tracks supplied in mp3 format (most common formats can be supplied). Files will be rough cut to eliminate excessive silence, but more extensive audio editing or separation of multiple files may be quoted separately if not specified in your project description.

Having recently completed a second successful client video using Jim Edgar as voiceover talent, I would like to offer my highest recommendation. In addition to having an appealing voice and being an incredibly quick study, Jim is a nice guy and a consummate professional. He arrived at our scheduled recording with a clear understanding of the script and tone we were looking for which allowed us to make the most of our session time. He easily adapted his delivery to our direction and cheerfully recorded multiple takes of a few specific scenes so we could have different intonations to choose from in post. It was a pleasure to work with Jim – his calm, easy-going manner and professionalism made for a smooth production from start to finish on both projects and I would hire him again without reservations!
