Lou Hunt has been a spokesperson for hundreds of commercials and narrations, since 1972. She was the First Female Announcer for a Network Soap, and the First Female Game Show Announcer. She has received three Clios, a First Place Award in the Art Director’s Shows in New York, Dallas & Wisconsin and an first place Addy in Memphis. Hers is a voice that can be both sophisticated and real, clear and throaty, warm and approachable, or edgy and provocative.

Lou Hunt, a professional Voice Over Performer since 1972 and a Voice Over Coach since 1976, established Word of Mouth Productions in 1984.
In 1981 she moved from the Midwest to Los Angeles and was signed to Cunningham, Escott, Dipene. She immediately began doing weekly on-air promos for ABC and NBC, several national on-camera spots, and over the years won three Clio Awards, an Ad Club Award for the “best personality to fit the product” and in 1998 received an ADDY for a Memphis Hospital Campaign. She was the first woman to be the announcer for a Network soap, "The Bold and The Beautiful".
In 1984 she started Voice Over Workshops in LA as well as private coaching and demo production. Lou has chaired several AFTRA/SAG and AFI seminars for Voice Over.
She now resides in Phoenix, Arizona where she continues to do Voice Overs and coach up and coming performers.
