Mary Jane Wells is a British female Voice artist, whose work won a BAFTA in recent years (she was series voice for BBC's 'In My Childhood').

Her reads are described as confident, quirky, natural, sincere and authoritative. She is known for making the driest copy sound warm, inviting and friendly, and for bringing authentic human connection into all of her work. She finds voice work exciting and inspiring and it reflects in her work.

For corporate work, she has an optomistic, driven and educated sound: for narration work she sounds sophisticated and assured. Her animation characters have been described as having 'hilarious comic timing': she recently voiced 3 characters for the Obama Campaign's publicity on Prop 39 as she has an ear for accents and versatile, wildly different character reads.

Her latest videogame character is out in 2013, and she has been employed for her 'subtle, truthful, powerful acting' and 'nailing the read first time'. She has particular interest in projects with a global humanitarian focus, that are ethically sound. Mary Jane trained as an actress at Royal Scottish Academy of Music and Drama, and worked in theatre for 14 years in the UK before landing the voice of Eharmony campaign whilst filming in LA, whereupon she began to do VO full time. She likes to get on with the job of bringing your copy to life, engaging the target demographic, and creating a fun and efficient work rapport where she nails the tone and feel of what you are looking for first time. Being a trained actress goes part and parcel of the work that differentiates her - especially in videogame, animation and audiobook - she is trained to quickly engage a target audience, and create meaning. She is also a writer; sensitivity to your text and it's interpretation is important to her. Mary Jane has her own home studio and access to ISDN and patch, and prides herself on a professional and speedy turnaround.
