Maury began his career in Florence, Alabama in 1971 at WJOI/WQLT Radio as an on air personality and play by play voice of the University of North Alabama Lions basketball program.

Maury's radio career continued to include WVOV Huntsville, Alabama; WAAY Huntsville, Alabama; WLAC-FM, Nashville, Tennessee, and 103 KDF, Nashville as a part time host of the Larry Black Show.

Maury has since become a recognized voice in radio and television as a voice over talent. Maury has been the voice of Lazy Boy Furniture Gallery, Crescent Furniture, Dick Clark Concert Series, Starwood Ampitheatre, Youth For Christ Nashville, Palm Beach County, ReMax Choice Properties, American Home Design and hundreds of other companies.

Maury has a passion for serving and in 1991 founded Mission Discovery. A non-profit organization that assists the needy through home construction and repair.
