Spanning the years 1982 through 2001, I was lead singer in a Country Rock band, a Rock band, and a 50's and 60's band. In 1982, I attended Western Illinois University where I majored in Art and minored in English. In 1985, I attended the American Institute of Commerce and majored in Radio Broadcasting, graduating in 1986. I didn't pursue a career in radio at that time for various reasons. I was a stay-at-home mother from 1994 to 2008 when I began working part time as the afternoon voice talent for a local radio station, WRMJ 102.3, where I'm currently employed and enjoy it very much. I also write copy and produce commercials for local businesses on a daily basis. I have been the church newsletter editor for 23 years. I have also written songs, poems, articles, and short stories over the years as well. I have always been an avid and fluent reader, which shortens the time needed for editing and perfecting.
