Highlights
I am a very energetic reader, animated, and passionate. I love to read and that love translates to my recordings.
I have been a bookworm for as long as I remember and the voice inside my head that I hear reading the words is the same voice I record in. It is very natural and conversational for narration and non-fiction pieces, happy and energetic for commercials, and bright and upbeat for voice mails.

Experience
I have been a storyteller all my life, always giving different voices to characters and mimicking actor's accents in movies.
It was only two years ago, however, that I finally realized I could record my voice for a career. The first job I had was for a friend's business. I became the "Answering Machine". Then I did a commercial for my church and another Voicemail message.
That led into volunteering for the online, public domain audio book website, LibriVox.org where I acquired most of my experience with audio recording and editing.
Now I want to use my voice in whatever way I can. This is my dream job and I'm reaching for the stars.
Credentials
Education
In my love for storytelling, I was bit by the theater bug in high school with the first drama class I attended. Since then, and when I was cast, I have been in as many theater productions as possible from Musicals, to Shakespeare, to Comedy, and to Tragedy.
I attended Bob Jones University and left with a B.S. in Apparels, Textiles and Design, and a MA in Performance Studies. I took classes on speech and vocal skills, performing Shakespeare, acting, and stage movement. I learned the IPA and how to project in a classroom, an auditorium, a theater, and a soccer field.
My Masters thesis was a One-woman show on the Biblical book of Esther that I compiled, adapted, researched, and designed.
I have led classes for Pastoral students on proper techniques for the diaphragm and have tutored non-English speakers with their pronunciations. I also lectured on an adaptation I attempted for a Reader's Theater production.
But my greatest love in performing arts has always been for storytelling and using my voice to bring characters to life in people's imagination. That is why I am here.
