Since 2008 Rider has been the television and radio promo voice of the San Diego Chargers.
His broadcast career spans 20 plus years in major radio markets like Denver, Philadelphia, Kansas City and includes winning the Academy of Country Music Award in 2012 for “Major Market Personality of the Year.”
He has done narration projects for the Nascar Hall of Fame as well as National TV spots for Mountain Dew, Taxslayer, Verizon, Amtrak, Hershey Park, TNT and both the Colorado and Florida Lottery to name a few.
His signature sports promo read was heard daily on Fox Sports Florida in Tampa, Miami, & Orlando for 4 plus years.
Rider’s radio imaging delivery is described as everything from tough, gritty and manly to sincere, genuine and guy next door depending on if he’s doing Rock and Sports or Christian and Hot AC.
He has a state of the art studio with both ISDN & phone patch. Plus he is also a production and radio imaging wizard.
Rider is married with one son, 3 dogs, 1 2007 Harley Street Glide(Cobalt Blue) and can make a wicked batch of chili.
