Highlights

I am an accredited member of the Society of Accredited Voice Over Artists (SaVoa) -- member #11027. I am very comfortable delivering: (1) warm, friendly, caring reads for scripts with sensitive topics; (2) fun, energetic, urgent, and/or comical reads for radio and TV promos/imaging; (3) authoritative, serious reads for hard-hitting subject matter; and (4) dark, mysterious, ominous, growly reads for movie trailer scripts. My main reads are accent-free; however, growing up in the south has given me all the inspiration I'd ever need to artculate a "hardened" southern man.

Credentials

Education

LA-based vocal coach Nancy Wolfson (Braintracks Audio) is my instructor.

I am an accredited SaVoa member (Society of Accredited Voice Over Artists #11027). This means that I successfully passed the extremely rigid requirements for vocal articulation and acting, as well as the high standards of recording and engineering--meaning you can expect TOP QUALITY reads, and TOP QUALITY audio delivery from me.

Before entering voice acting, I served over 20 years in the music and entertainment business as the drummer on a number of Grammy-winning CDs and world tours for artists including TLC, Monica, Stevie Nicks, Michael McDonald, and countless others. During these two decades, I was exposed to many facets of audio/visual marketing on local, national, and intercontinental levels. This experience, I believe, has helped broaden my conception regarding advertising; and as a result--my vocal delivery. Of course, a constant watchful eye--or ear-- of the current trends in voice work also play a large role in my continuing education.

My training includes coaching sessions from an agent I have in Atlanta by the name of Sally Neal, and also extensive voice lessons from the legenday Jan Smith (vocal coach to R&B superstar USHER, Justin Beiber, and countless other stars.)

Service Description

For recording, I use a variety of digital audio workstations (DAWs). My main DAW is Digital Performer, but often employ Audition, Soundtrack Pro, and Sonar--depending on audio needs. My vocal booth is a total isolation booth outfitted with auralex acoustic foam on every surface guaranteeing a perfect, noise-free recording. My main vocal microphone is a large diaphragm, multi-pattern condenser mic made by RODE (NT2).

I am extremely knowledgeable in full scale audio and video production. I own and operate a full production audio/video company that incorporated in 2001. If your audio production needs extend beyond voice work, I'm your guy, as I am also well-versed in audio sweetening and many other forms of audio post production. Anything from special effects on a line of dialogue to full-scale post production, I can give it to you! My company created marketing material--including voice work--for R&B supergroup TLC, The Grammys, Charlie Wilson from The Gap Band, Timberland Footwear, Yamaha Band Instruments, IKON business solutions, and many, many others.
