What Are Private Jobs?

Private Job Postings

A private job is an invitation to respond to a voiceover opportunity that is only sent to one talent or a specified invited list.

Private jobs are initiated directly from a voice actor's profile page or from search results at Voices.com by clicking on the Request Quote button. This will bring you to a screen where you will have the opportunity to invite the talent to an existing posting or to post a new job for that talent.

The private job will be submitted into our job posting queue and will be approved in a short time frame. Once the job is approved the invited talent will be notified and you will be sent an email confirmation.

Public jobs are created from within your Voices.com account by clicking on Post New Job or from any of the Post Job links throughout the site. Public jobs will be open to paid subscribers of Voices.com and will result in a greater response in the shortest amount of time possible.

Replying to Public and Private Jobs

As a Premium or Preferred voice talent member of Voices.com, you have full access to Public Jobs and may be contacted to apply for Private Jobs that correspond with your notification preferences, artistic, and technical abilities. When replying to a job, all you need to do is click through the email, review the job details, submit an appropriate demo, write a proposal and indicate how much you would charge to provide the services requested by a client for a given job opportunity. You also have the ability to preview your auditions and can submit them with assurance and ease.

Putting your Best Foot Forward

When applying for a job, be sure to read all of the details carefully to determine if you would like to participate as an applicant. As mentioned above, you can double check that your audio is properly uploaded and your proposal and quote are tailored to the specific needs of a client.

Job Statuses

You'll notice that you can view jobs by their status. All jobs you qualify to audition for that are open for auditions will be shown as "Hiring Open". If you've auditioned for a job, the status of that job will change to "Answered" and be filed accordingly in your account, and eventually, be listed as "Closed". If you are hired for a job, you'll become familiar with the statuses "Finalized", "Working" and "Complete" as part of the SurePay process.

When are Jobs Reviewed, Approved and Posted at Voices.com?

Private jobs are automatically approved by the system and invited talent are notified immediately.

Public Jobs are reviewed and approved Monday to Friday between 8 a.m. and 8 p.m EST.

Exceptions are Canadian National Holidays where projects will be reviewed and approved the following day.
