Abby Elvidge is an actress-turned-Paleobotanist-turned Voice Actor. Abby plies her skills of late to commercials, video games, and audiobook narration with a keen ability at characterization.
She is a juror for the Society of Voice Arts And Sciences' annual Voice Arts Awards, and a 2017 Finalist in the category of Audiobooks - Humor, Best Voiceover. Recently she was an Audie Award Finalist in “GADZOOKS!”
Abby narrated the bestseller, “GRUNT: The Curious Science of Humans at War” by Mary Roach, to astounding reviews, particularly from the author. Mary Roach wrote, I won the vocal-cord lottery when Abby Elvidge took an interest in narrating GRUNT. She is perfect for the project: energetic, friendly, and right on the mark with her tone and inflection.”
Memoirist Marlayna Glynn Brown said, Abby was such a perfect narrator for my first book that I hired her for the next two. Her skill was evident when she was able to successfully narrate a character who progressively aged from 4 to 44 over three books. I had many, many requests to narrate and could not be happier to have chosen Abby. Aside from her narration skills (including nailing the character voice and perfect timing,) she was professional and a joy to work with. She completed all projects before they were due. Abby's a pro from start to finish!
Abby teaches at The Voice Actors Studio in Las Vegas and with Patrick Fraley, Scott Brick and other Audiobook Luminaries.
