I am an award winning professional performing artist, singer, actor, film editor and teacher of drama and singing.
I have been performing professionally for over 12 years now.
I have had the privilege performing in David Ian Productions/Pieter Toerien Productions and The Really Useful Group's Production of The International tour of The Sound of Music 2014/2015.
I will also be performing in the international tour of EVITA for the same production companies later on this year. I have also performed professionally as Beadle Bamford in Sweeney Todd, in Little Shop of Horrors, As Pseudolus in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Seussical Jr., Annie Jr., Honk Jr., amongst others.
BLOOD DRIVE, an international TV Series in which I played a character called "Fat Elvis" has just been release on SyFy channel in the USA and will be released in UK in September 2017.

Adam Pelkowitz matriculated from King David High School Victory Park in 2005 with distinction in Drama. He attained a BA Dramatic Arts (Hons.) and Television Production and Editing (Hons.) from WITS. Adam trained vocally with Eugenie Chopin, Clinton Zerf, Adele Strombeck, and Wessel Odendaal. In 2007, whilst in his 2nd year of study, he enjoyed the privilege of being the late Bill Flynn’s last understudy as well as ensemble cast member in Stephen Sondheim’s A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum. In 2009, he was awarded the Johannesburg Operatic and Dramatic Society (JODS) prize for the most distinguished contribution on stage in a JODS musical. Adam finally made his professional debut in Deon Opperman’s Jock of the Bushveld, at the Jo’burg Theatre’s Mandela Stage, in 2010. Professionally, he has performed in Seussical Jr., Pippi Longstocking, ANNIE Jr., and Honk Jr. and was the music and singing teacher for their weekend Theatre Boot-camps at National Children’s Theatre. A highlight for him was being involved in TREE AAN! (A musical about the Border War) for which he was nominated for a NALEDI THEATRE AWARD for Best Comedy Performance in a Musical in 2011 for the role of “David Lipschitz” which was written for him. In, 2012 he performed in a totally new South African Children’s Musical production The Purr Factory. Adam then went on to teach Choir and Drama at King Edward VII School. Since then, Adam has involved in The Sound of Music International Tour 2014 – 2015 for Pieter Toerien, and David Ian Production, as the role of Baron Elberfeld and Understudy to Uncle Max and Franz the butler. Adam recently appeared in Pieter Toerien and KICKSTART’S Production of Little Shop of Horrors and Stephen Sondheim’s SWEENEY TODD a bucket list show for him as Beadle Bamford Adam Also own’s his own Production Company which provides Film Editing, Voice Over Services and Creative Consulting. Adam Is very excited to be a part of EVITA’s International Tour 2017/2018.
