I was born into the Minnesota Bluegrass And Old Time Music Association community, and a very musical family.
I play upright bass, a little 5-string electric bass although it is not as comfortable as upright, some guitar, percussion, random instruments, and sing. I favor harmonies as a bassist. I was in as many music and arts activities as I could be in school, and have since been in and out of performing bands as an adult.
I am a jammer at heart and am most comfortable around a campfire with good friends, playing whatever the moment brings. Generally, people don't tell me the chords, key, or even what they are playing. I am great at being put on the spot. ((Celtic music is a bit more difficult to be put on the spot with. It seems to jump around too much, but it is super fun to sing.))
My vocal range goes from a tenor to lower soprano, with me being most comfortable as Alto.
I adore creepy music and minor keys, sultry jazz, Disney songs, traditionals, and so much more.
