I like to describe my normal speaking voice as "an Appalachian accent that healed funny" after years of codeswitching between my natural voice and the standard English trying to "fit in" at college and later, to make myself easier to understand to my English Language Learners in my job as an ESL teacher.
In my MFA program, other writers often commented on the strength of my readings. I eventually had a short story published in The Drum Online Literary Magazine, a web-based audio literary magazine.

I teach ESL--so my speaking clearly is very important.
I can speak clearly with strong enunciation. My voice would be well suited to English learning projects, as I can speak in accent neutral English as well as many gradations of American accents to familiarize students with different accents.
