I have known Angela Castonguay for more than twelve years, first as an employee, than as a colleague and friend. I heartily recommend her work on multiple fronts. As our Director of Education at several Sylvan Learning Centers in Middle Georgia, and later, as an Executive Director in her own right, Angela brought the highest degree of professionalism to her interactions with students, parents, staff, and other educators in our multi-county area. With an incisive wit, deep compassion, first-rate organizational skills, and a razor-sharp intellect, she helped us build a successful education enterprise as we served children in need of remediation or enrichment. The Writer's Webb
After I departed the centers, she continued to lead the businesses, effectively leveraging the opportunities presented by passage of the No Child Left Behind (NCLB) legislation. She forged successful partnerships with district personnel across the entire Middle Georgia area and ensured Sylvan remained on the coveted list for certified NCLB providers. Her staff of certified teachers boasted an extraordinarily high length-of-stay, assuring Sylvan remained both professionally successful and profitable for the franchisee.
Since her retirement from Sylvan, Angela has transitioned into the world of Voice-Over Performance and Production. She continues to amaze me with her renaissance skill-set—segueing smoothly from instructing primary and secondary students to teaching adults in the Voice-Over techniques she has been perfecting for the last several years while planning her next act.
Bold, yet diplomatic and always engaging, she was recently selected to perform in the upcoming Brian Helgeland movie, 42—about legendary baseball hero, Jackie Robinson—which starred Harrison Ford and was filmed partly in Macon, Georgia. Transforming herself again, this time into a 1940's matron, she made an impression on both cast and crew, and was invited to audition for other upcoming parts.
More than anything, I have been privileged to benefit from her perseverance, humor, tact, exacting sense of ethics, and loyalty. I would recommend her highly for any endeavor she might pursue—she's a sure thing!
Angela is a very talented voice actor, coach and producer. Her finely tuned ear, top-notch talents and kindhearted personality, make her a huge asset to the Such A Voice team. Her work is superb and her students adore her. It's truly a pleasure to know and work with Angela.Heather Costa - Director of Operations - Such A Voice
