Ed began his broadcast career as an award-winning radio news reporter in Wisconsin, transitioning to become chief announcer for the largest classical and jazz music FM radio station in Milwaukee (owned at the time by Koss Corp.). He frequently provided programming promo spots for PBS-TV affiliates WMVS/WMVT in southeastern Wisconsin, and later on the East Coast for a variety of clients, among them New York City Center. His work in corporate trade show and training video narration has included Kohler Co., Abbott Laboratories, Plenco (Plastics Engineering Co.), among others. In addition to his work as a professional announcer and voice talent, Ed has performed as an actor on stages from regional theater to Off-Off Broadway to Lincoln Center. For several years he and a business partner owned, operated, and also wrote all original scripts for Two’s Company, a theatrical ensemble based in Milwaukee, touring in Illinois and Wisconsin. He holds a BFA with honors from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee, and studied professionally with Paul Sills (improvisation; co-founder Chicago’s Second City), Herbert Berghof and Aaron Frankel (HB Studio, New York, NY), and independent voice acting coaches in Manhattan.
