Jay Adams

Highlights

I began my vocal work literally as a child. Watching famed impressionists like Rich Little and Frank Gorshin moved me on a path toward learning to mimic personalities, accents, characters, cartoons and the like. My normal delivery is baritone with a slight southern inflection, but I am capable of delivering a wide variety of voices, lilts, and accents. I also play music and sing capably.

Service Description

Since enrolling in college in the early 1980s I have worked in positions that have required voice and/or character work. Beginning with the Silver Dollar City theme park in Pigeon Forge TN in the mid 80s and then continuing with the Dollywood company at the same location the following year. After performing for approximately 8 years with Dollywood, I joined the staff of the newly created Dollywood Broadcasting Company. About 7 years later I left broadcasting for a little over 2 years, and then returned to work for the East Tennessee Radio Group. I am currently the morning show co-host on Tennessee's New Mix 105.5, WSEV-FM, Play by play announcer for high school football coverage, and host of a Sunday morning public affairs program. I also do contract work in the areas of emcee, storytelling, musical engagements, and business voice over recording.
