It's sink, or swim for me im afraid as I have never used my voice in this capacity. But im hopeful that my top reading skills will give me some advantage when it comes to flow, and character changes. As an avid reader i can say that ive done alot of voice over acting, only in my head! (I hope that makes sense.) What i mean is, whenever im reading, i find myself imagining and then imitating how the character would sound if spoke aloud! Now ill just have to use their voice, with mine out loud!
When I was in school my classmates would always want me to read if the teacher was looking for someone to take over because they appreciated the fact that i didnt stumble over my words, that I read at a well pace, and I spoke clearly, with great punctuation, and with a voice that wasnt too quiet, or meek. They never had to strain to listen & i never gave them a chance to be annoyed by stumbling or mumbling like they did with other reader..I suspect that it was my smooth pace and rhythm that helped insure that more pages of material could be covered in class, and less at home that they really liked! Whatever it was, I know that those skills will come help me read any material thrown my way so that I can begin the recording process and complete assignments accurately and before deadlines.

•Teachers aid for 2 yr olds-and let me tell you, they are the first ones that will let you know how well of a voice over job your doing while reading, singing, play acting, and teaching. If your not entertaining and can't hold their attention, they have no qualms of not only telling you your boring, but show you by falling away to create havoc somewhere else while your in the middle of story time!
•3Teachers aid for physically and mentally disabled children who can also be picky. Also. They may acquire a more soft, slower, calm, tone to make them comfortable vs excited allowed, which I know could set of a child that may have autism, or down syndrome who cant handle loud and crazy. This knowledge will serve me well when it comes to the material being read and how to adjust my perform accordingly to the intended audience.
