I am Sudanese American and I speak Arabic and English with native fluency. Since childhood, I had spent a considerable amount of time viewing mostly nature-themed and scientific documentaries, many of which were featured in some of the most famous television news sources, such as BBC and Aljazeera, which influenced my vocabulary and speech in both languages. My personal interest in linguistics generally helped me develop an informal understanding of multiple accents in both languages, as well as the accents of native speakers of one while speaking the other.
