About

Overview

My voice is flexible: vibrant, sexy, feminine, smooth or slightly edgy for commercials and chameleon-like with subtle distinctions for audio books, including gender switches, British and Southern American accents and a stylistic feel for an author's language, phrasing, tempo, characters, context and plot. I can sound both authoritative for business demos and almost fey/mystical/open for new age or other demos. Please find music and voice-over demos on (Website hidden)

Experience

I have a background as a stage actress at numerous regional theatres in the USA, including the American Repertory Theatre, The Asolo in Sarasota, Fl, and the Alley Theatre in Houston Texas. I studied acting at the Theatre School at DePaul University in Chicago, IL. I also toured Greece with a production of a Greek Tragedy from LaMama, with a cast of Greek and American actors.
As a vocalist and lyricist, I've produced three CDs: "Being Visited", an art-pop record on the Knitting Factory label in NYC, "Spell on You," a collection of jazz and blues and rock songs, and "Terrible Baubles" a sung and spoken poetry record. Also a writer, my first poetry chapbook was published on Ibbetson St. Press, titled, "Hot Rain." I also had a chap published on Alternating Current Press, called, "Terrible Baubles" and a prose-poem memoir published on Cervena Barva Press called, "Sarasota VII" that will be performed as part of The Poets' Theatre's series on identity. I am looking to do both commercial and audio book voice overs.
