About Matt Hicks
I have recorded multiple audiobooks available on Amazon, iTunes, and Audible. My voice has been described as briney and transcendant. I just figure that should be known because those adjectives as applied to a voice are so specific and well defined. I have experience voicing distinct male and female characters who can be easily identified during an unattributed conversation. I have a natural southern accent and an intentional neutral American accent. I can perform credible English, Scots, Australian, German, and French accents. I have a home studio equipped with a Sennheiser MK 4 and a Focusrite pre-amp. I spent a year of college as a theater major and performed throughout elementary school (radio commercials), high school (community and school theater), and college. Last year I left a lucrative career in sales to pursue my dream of becoming a voice actor full time.Read More

Working with Matt on my book, The Crossroads: Behold the Pale Horse, was a wonderful experience. What struck me the most was the near 100% accuracy he had in doing the reading the very first time, with very minimal corrections needed. Most importantly, his swiftness in responding to my inquiries, and his eagerness to work to my total satisfaction made him easy to collaborate with. Needless to say, his reading of my book was just the voice I envisioned in bringing it to life. He dug into the characters and portrayed them just as I imagined them. It was a wonderfully painless experience working with him, and I would love to work with him again on future projects.MBH Voice Productions LLC
