Credentials

Education

2015 - Tony Oliver's Beginner Voice Acting Workshop, at Bang Zoom Studios.

2/27/2016 - Edge Studio's Investigate Voice Over Class. Listed is the initial evaluation from Noelle:

"About Your Foundation Voice
You are fluent in English. The vocal age range that I hear you being marketable in is 25 to 35.

About Your Natural Delivery
Your pacing is normal (not too fast or too slow), which is great for most types of copy.

You're naturally slurry, which can be common for new aspiring voice talent. Working towards clearer articulation will help make you more marketable.

I notice that your delivery style is comedic, enthusiastic, expressive, friendly, fun and playful.

You naturally sound like a best friend, brother and buddy.

About Your Performance
Here are some of your strengths:

It was clear that you understood the general concepts of V.O. delivery that we discussed during class -- this is an important skill, since these concepts are a vital part of learning voice-over technique.

You have good natural acting ability.

You brought good creativity to the copy, which is great.

You were uninhibited, which allows you to be open to new ideas and direction.

And here are some things to work on . . .

I noticed you slurred a bit. This can be caused by speaking too fast, or by moving on to the next thought too quickly. So work on slowing down, as well as enunciation.

Kevin, you had wonderful personality, and gave lovely playful reads. My biggest concern is that you have very slurry speech and this will prevent you from being marketable. To remedy this, I suggest you do 3 one-on-one sessions with Linda Jones, our speech expert. Since she is based in NY, this would be via Skype. And that end of the three sessions, based on the progress you make and Linda's feedback, you can then think about going into a specific area and training towards that.

What's Next For You
Based on your performance during the workshop, and knowing what casting professionals are looking for, you have some potential… but it doesn't come completely naturally to you, so it will require some hard work to make it happen. Above is a list of some specific things you’ll need to work on. That said, if you're willing to put in the time and effort, we will be glad to work with you to help you do the very best you can!

I recommend that you start with a coaching 3-pack."

3/22/2016 - Crispin Freeman's Character Scenes & Character Archetype classes.

4/12/2016 - 1st Skype private session with Edge Studio coach, Pen-Pen Chen.

5/6/2016 - 2nd Skype private session with Edge Studio coach, Pen-Pen Chen.

5/10/2016 - 3rd Skype private session with Edge Studio coach, Pen-Pen Chen. Although I show improvement in some areas, I show weakness in others. I'm recommended to Edge Studio coach Rachel Butera.

5/26/2016 - Crispin Freeman's Audition Analysis class.

7/15/2016 - 1st Skype private session with Edge Studio coach, Rachel Butera.

9/14/2016 - 2nd Skype private session with Edge Studio coach, Rachel Butera. Read scripts for promos, commercials, and narration. The session was a success. On 7/10/2017, after inquiry, I was given the go-ahead from Edge Studio to progress towards the professional voiceover demo creation phase. Was recommended to coach Rachel Fulginiti.

11/14/2017 - 11/15/2017 - attended Richard Horvitz's Weekend Workshop.

12/2017 - had 3 private Skype sessions with Richard Horvitz for a commercial demo preparation. Led to the creation of the demo on 1/19/2018.

03/02/2018 - attended Bill Holmes' Margaritas, Mojitos, & Microphones workshop. Brandie Ilsen from Aperture Talent, Micaela Hicks from Atlas Talent Agency, and Jill Kershaw from Sound and Fury Casting were the special guests. Micaela Hicks & Jill Kershaw noted that I have a naturally-casual reading style, and that I am able to take direction well.
