I spent many years getting in trouble for singing in class and am known for it at work. I took 3 years of chorus/voice class in high school. 1st soprano/2nd soprano (and Tenor when the teacher wasn't looking during Carmina Burana, and very well, I might add).
My best accents are British, Spanish, and Japanese (I never intend to offend). I consider myself a linguist, and perhaps claireaudiant and am great at mimicing accents and I work with a very diverse group of accents now. I often do it unintentionally.
I do multi-gender and multi-age, but I am a total novice to this line of work. It has always been a dream of mine and I am so excited at the possibility of doing it professionally.
After reciting a poem in class, I was asked to join the Forensics (Speech and Debate) team and I did prose and poetry mostly. My humorous pieces never placed, though they are my favorite. The people want more depth, so I did The Color Purple, some thought too far the other way, yet, I placed fourth.
I aced Public Speaking in college and work in customer service, often praised for my phone skills, a gift and a curse. I love reading! When I was a child I made up a voice for my Amelia Badelia books, and then in middle school for my Lemony Snicket Books. Now as an adult I enjoy doing the voice of whatever guy is slowing down Robert Langdon from saving the world! Move over Olivetti!
