Philile Sishuba

My name is Philile Sihuba. I'm 23 years old, born and raised in Johannesburg, South Africa. At the age of 10 I took an interest for the dramatic arts, performing in local plays and community speech programmes. At 14 I enrolled at the National School of the Arts, where I studies speech and drama from grade 8-12. During my 5 years at the school, I was exposed to vocal training, stage craft, physical theatre, theatre history, writing and performance. The school held an arts festival annually which allowed me to perform in countless original works. One of my most memorable performances was on a production called The Bald Prima Donna which ran for a week at the Grahamstown Arts Festival (2014). I am currently studying Performing Arts Technology (3rd year) at the Tshwane University of Technology majoring in Set Design. My voiceover career started at the age of 9 and since then I have been working as an independent voiceover artist doing mostly commercials for radio stations. I am fluent in English, isiXhosa and isiZulu.
