About Sanyee Yuan
I'm fascinated with storytelling and the way in which we can use our voices to connect through narrative and nonfiction storytelling.
I created my major at Harvard University to focus on Narrative in Rhetoric & Performance and spent four years studying vocal production, speech patterns, and rhetorical devices.
After graduating in May 2012, I moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career as a host and actress. I immediately hit the ground running and began working as a correspondent for a show called Culture Express. I produced, wrote, and reported for different segments all over the entertainment industry, including red carpet premieres, press junkets, set visits, and special events. I've reported from fashion line launches, art exhibit gallery openings, and Wonder Con as well as Comic-Con, and a number of awards shows.
Aside from working on this show, I also started working with Disney Channel as an on-camera host for them and also continue acting / hosting in the commercial and feature realm.
Back in college, I produced and hosted my own shows: a travel show, a talk show, and a fun reality dating show. I also worked with CBS News, MTVU, and various YouTube shows to produce and report for their millennial-geared pieces.
I've been described as having a girl-next-door voice that's young, hip, fun, and relatable for teens / young adults!
