Overview
In the beginning a classically trained, Shakespeare-weaned actress at a key London drama school.
After graduating I spent a busy few years in V/O, theatre, international film, commercials and also music - (a little off-piste here, but I was a 'disco-house' recording artist for a while back then called Sugar Holmz - yes I know, what can I say?:) - and later formed my jazz/blues quintet called, rather imaginatively I thought! - The Sarah Ward Quintet.
Then, suddenly, my voiceover work took over, which has turned out to be fabulously fulfilling and great fun - I guess you could say it's where I'm at my happiest. For me it's all about voice!
My v/o experience includes TV and radio commercials, radio promos, corporate videos and audio books - I like getting my teeth into all those characters! Mind you, I am really not fussy and genuinely love it all.
Taking time out to raise my family has been a dream job, albeit an unpaid one! Now, with my boys rapidly growing up I'm thrilled to get back to the voiceover work I love.
People describe my voice as warm, inviting, clear, classy, engaging, sexy (I can be – coy smile) sultry, soothing, calming, energetic, friendly, authoritative, informed, velvety, assured.
I hope I'm all of those things and more. And with my home studio I can either work remotely or travel to a studio of your choice.
So - if you need anything voicing, whatever it may be - with speed, professionalism, sensitivity and acuity, please get in touch. I’d love to hear from you.

I really enjoy radio drama and character work too. Narration and audio books - love ‘em! ‘On-hold’ and IVR? - no problem, and VO documentaries are welcome! Let’s be honest here, I’m not fussy - I genuinely love it all!
Short of time....?
I can do a fast turnaround - I don't think I've ever taken the full amount of time allotted to me for a job - I'm integral, and fast!
Accents?
Accent wise, I'll be honest. I can do a few really well, but if I don't think I'm really competent at the accent you need I'll say so. I will never waste your time.

I have been a professional voice over engineer/music producer for over 25 years and I've worked with some of the best people in the business. Sarah’s professionalism, speed, getting it right first time and ability to go in and out of different characters seamlessly is one of the best I have encountered. She is also a lovely person to work with.

We recently selected Sarah as a Voice Over for an insurance company commercial. Her read was spot on, she took direction well and really added another dimension to our film. She was hugely professional and great fun to work with. We’d love to work with her again soon.
