After reading a story to a group of people once, a woman came up to me afterward and said "Hearing you read made me just want to curl up with my favorite blankie and listen.." I loved that description of my voice....smooth and pleasant on narrative reads...warm and inviting on phone recordings and on hold messages and the versatility to give you whatever you need on commercial work - sexy, funny, sincere, conversational or intense ...even a variety of accents and character voices. Please listen to my demos to get a sampling of what I can do...or better yet..hire me and I'll be glad to work with you to customize whatever you are needing for your job. No diva here...I promise!! I'm easy to work with.

A career in radio has led me from on-air work in AC to smooth jazz to country formats and the commercial production and imaging work that goes along with them. I also spent several years doing news and traffic reporting and writing. That job required a great deal of creativity and versatility as I jumped from one persona to another in any 3 hour shift...I had different "characters" for some of the stations... JB, the traffic queen of hip-hop and R&B...Roxanne Dubree for a couple of obnoxious shock jocks and Jordan West, the country sweetheart/sidekick were just a few of the characters I played. I have done on-hold advertising and commercial work for over 15 years on the side from my home studio until making it my primary job about 5 years ago. My availability and turnaround time on voicework is fast..often within hours.
Other work I've done includes voicemail trees, web audio, radio and TV spots (both on and off camera), on camera hosting for public television and hosted a public affairs interview radio show. I was also the voice of the California Lottery's Daily Draw from 2002 - 2009.
I attended college on a full theater arts scholarship many years ago, but my career route has taken me to a place where most of my acting is now done behind a microphone. I still do theater work for fun and the bonus to that is that it does continue to enhance my skills in character development, leading to some great new character voices for commercial work through the years as well as generally polishing my skills.
I work primarily from my home studio, but will gladly come to your studio if you are nearby in the northern California area. I'm skilled in the use of various digital editing programs and have the ability and equipment to produce TV and radio quality audio with music and sound effects.
