About Dani Lloyd

Overview

Hey,

My name is Dani Lloyd and I can't wait to be your go-to voice over artist! I'm a brand-new voice actor, who is ready to work! Over the past year, I have trained with one of the best voice over coaches in the business, Bruce Kronenburg with Abacus Entertainment in NYC. In addition to the one-on-one training I received with Bruce, I was fortunate to take voice over classes at the world renowned, Stella Adler Studio of Acting, in NYC.

There are very few voice over talents, my age, fresh out of high school, who have the extensive training I have received. My professional home studio allows me to create and record the quality product you are looking for. So, if you're looking for that fresh, contemporary, yet authentic voice for your commercial, video game, or animation, I am your man!

Testimonials

Five years ago, I met Daniel “Dani” Lloyd at an audition for Seussical Jr. at Faith Christian Academy. I will never forget the first impression he made on me and the panel of directors and production team members as he wowed us all with his fearless, uninhibited exploration of characters, and we were even still impressed by his ability to take direction. His beautiful, natural, baritone voice sang with such ease and expression that we were all surprised to hear he had never had any previous vocal training. He was transitioning out of band where he was less than thrilled (although also very good) to be playing the tuba and wanted to try something new.

That year, I took a risk on Dani, casting the new, young freshman as the lead role of the Cat in the Hat in Seussical Jr., and I am so glad I did! He stole the hearts of the audience! So much so, that when we performed Peter Pan Jr the following year our ticket sales doubled. People were eager to see Dani play the role of Captain Hook. During his Junior year, word had gotten out about this talented young man and even more people came out to see him play Gaston in Beauty and the Beast Jr. This is where he took his acting skills and characterization to an even greater level. He singlehandedly saved the show when the audio failed to play (for a few minutes) on que and he immediately threw himself into improv mode, encouraging the other actors to follow along until the audio finally started. He conducted himself like a professional without even realizing it. Dani made the difficult yet brave choice to spend his Senior year of high school in NYC, as a home school student, still under the umbrella of FCA, pursuing his dream of being an actor. It has been a joy and a pleasure to watch Dani grow into the mature, talented performer he is today.

For the three years that I was fortunate enough to be Dani’s director, he always came to rehearsal prepared and ready to give one hundred percent on every run, no matter how many times I ask it to be repeated, or no matter how many changes I made to his blocking. He stayed in character throughout each rehearsal, giving his best at all times and stood out above all my other company members at FCA. I continue to see a genuine passion and commitment to his craft as an actor, singer, and performer.

In addition to Musical Theater, Dani also sang in a ten-member elite acapella ensemble, called Decatonix, as well as multiple choirs where he proved to be responsible learning his music and attending all rehearsals, performances, and competitions with dedication and commitment. I know that wherever Dani goes in his future, higher level training & education as an entertainer, actor, or performer he will inspire and bring joy to all those who have the privilege to see him and work with him.

CP Pictures is honored to recommend Dani Lloyd for any position concerning the entertainment industry. Dani's enthusiasm is amazing and his commitment to the trade is relentless.

As a small production company, Dani auditioned for a part in our project and he brought so much to the table that day that the casting team had already selected him for a lead part before we had even finished auditioning that day. Dani worked with us on that project which entailed many hours of memorizing, rehearsing, and hour of makeup, waiting, filming, and re-filming. He was dedicated and professional in his demeanor.

Dani was that actor that was always ready on set, easy to direct and followed instruction well. Another attribute Dani has is his ability to relater to other actors. He always knows what to say to those new actors just starting off, to help them feel welcome and comfortable with the group. Acting is not an easy task and sometimes intimidation is a crutch when on set. Dani never let any new actors feel like they were less than anyone. His personality is contagious and refreshing in this industry.

He would be an asset to any company or team that was wondering working with him.

Having known Dani since he was a baby, I have a deep and resounding belief in this young man and his ability as an actor. Last year, I wrote a similar letter to this one, for Dani’s entrance and audition to Stella Adler’s Teen Summer Conservatory, where he was accepted into the program and thrived. As an NYU Tisch and Stella Adler graduate, it was my privilege to recommend Dani for the summer program, last year. I am even more thrilled, however, to see him continue his training, exploring different techniques, finding the right fit for himself.

Dani is not your average student. Yes, he is smart and dedicated and extremely talented as an actor, but he has also been given some extra weight to carry in his life as he was diagnosed with Autism at the age of two. This, however, has never been seen as a setback for Dani or his family. His mother pushed through common thinking about raising children with autism and pushed for more, much more for Dani, and the remarkable thing about their story is that she and Dani accomplished it. Dani is a success story in a genre where there are not too many happy endings.

Eleven years ago, Dani could hardly put a sentence together. He was withdrawn and disengaged. Then, he stepped onto a stage for the first time, during his freshman year and quickly became the star of his high school productions. He found his voice, his people, his outlet, and his passion. He has since graduated Magna Cum Laude from Faith Christian Academy High School, with a 3.9 GPA, and has learned how to navigate NYC on his own. These are things his parents had once only dreamed of, but now, they have become his reality. Dani is an active participant in his community. He has overcome insurmountable odds and is now like every other thriving young man his age.

I had the opportunity to teach acting to Dani two summers ago. I believed then that he was ready for the next level of training and since his continued studies this past year, I believe he is ready for yet, the next level. He listens to his partner on stage, he thinks on his feet and is quick to follow his instincts, which are uniquely heightened for the stage. Like so many athletes you hear about having a high IQ for sports, Dani has a high IQ for the stage. He gets it.

What a huge success story Dani is and will continue to be. Think about the headlines, the first autistic lead of a film or lead of a Broadway play! It’s the kind of story we love to watch on screen or on stage, a story about someone overcoming crippling odds to make something beautiful out of an ugly situation. This is the story of Dani’s life.
