Lindsborg, Kansas, US
I am currently the audio producer for both Escape Pod - the longest-running science fiction story podcast - and audio producer for the three-time Parsec Award-winner The Drabblecast.
I was also the assistant editor for the Hugo Award-winning podcast StarShipSofa for approximately two years. Throughout these experiences, I developed a good sense for quality voice acting and created several narrations for these podcasts as well as ProtectingProjectPulp - a sister podcast to StarShipSofa. I also produced the "Cheapskates" segment on StarShipSofa for more than a year.
My work as producer for the Drabblecast podcast is a paid role involves securing narrators, selecting music and sound effects, and delivering a fully produced, high-quality episode on deadline.
The work producing for Escape Pod is also paid and involves finding narrators, completing their contracts, editing their work for the episode, and posting the episode along with host spots, music, and feedback segment for each weekly episode.
I was also paid as guest voice talent for an audio drama mini-series called "E'ville" produced by the "Unreliable Narrators" podcast, where I played a Prohibition-era gangster from New York named Eddie.
Other volunteerism relating to vocal performance includes two years of "Audio Reader" for the blind and sight impaired at the University of Kansas, four years of theater, and four years of forensics competition in dramatic categories, including two years of qualifying for nationals and two placings at state competition.
Should you choose me for narration, I'd expect a turnaround within one week or less, depending on length. I can also provide references upon request.
Thank you for your consideration!
