I have been a television reporter for the past 17 years, most recently working in a top 15 market. In that time, I have had dozens of sessions with voice coaches and consultants. I have voiced pieces that have appeared several times on the CBS Evening News as well as other CBS network news programs. I have hosted half hour shows, and was part of the Jerry Lewis Telethon for years. I take direction easily, so if you like my voice but need an adjustment, I can help you achieve the right delivery for your project. I also offer copy editing services which can be negotiated into the bid; I am a published author and a 25 year print journalist as well.

My voice experience began back in 1996 when I was getting my degree in journalism at Concordia University in Quebec, Canada. I did extra work in the broadcast field on the side, as I was specializing in print. It was an internship in my home town of Colorado Springs at one of the local TV stations that gave me what I needed to send out tapes and land my first job in TV. I was the everything girl for KREY TV in Montrose, Colorado for two years after graduating. I shot all of my own video, edited, tracked reports, and anchored a four minute nightly newscast. From there, I went on to report and fill-in anchor at KOAA-TV in Pueblo / Colorado Springs where I worked for four years (1998 - 2002). I had several sessions with voice coaches while at KOAA-TV. But then, in the fall of 2002, I finally made it! I made it to the Denver market where my pay was amazing and I would no longer have to struggle in my life. I started out in the mountain newsroom for CBS4 Denver, often doing pieces on the side for our parent network--CBS News, CBS Radio, and The Weather Channel. When the Kobe Bryant trial was going on in Eagle, Colorado, I was hired by Sports Fan Radio to report on that case, earning hundreds of extra dollars over the course of a year. After spending six years in the freezing cold climate of Summit County, Colorado, I couldn't take it any longer and transferred down to the Denver station where I worked as a one-man-band for my last four years there. That meant I shot my own video, edited, and reported daily. Many of my pieces continued to make it into network newscasts. I am no longer in news, and so excited to be doing voice over work for a living! My dream is to support myself with this type of work while I write children's novels.

I can help to make your next project a success by delivering a quality voice product that will complete your vision--the vision you have prepared for your audience. The way your message is delivered to your audience can make the message just OK, or can make the message something that leaves a lasting impression on your clients and audience. Delivery is truly the last piece of the puzzle. If the delivery is wrong it won't fit and all your audience will hear is the bad voice and what's irritating them about it. If the delivery is proper, they won't hear the voice, they'll hear the message. I hope to deliver your message with perfection so that the latter is achieved. I also take direction well, so if you like my voice but aren't sure if I can adjust it for your project--rest assured I can!
Voice Over Clients
If you consider that I have voiced packages five days a week for the past 17 years, you could say I have had tens of thousands of clients! Many of my pieces have won prestigious awards over the years.
