Allen's voice has a broad range that can walk the line between a youthful tenor and a deeper baritone, with lots of colors in between. He can deliver a highly engaging, varied, conversational tone or, when called for, a bored, flat affect. As an actor he can give a performance that sounds unrehearsed, instead of like someone reading a script. He's good at improv and a good mimic, specializing in vocal matching, impersonations, and accents. But he also knows his limitations, so he'll be the first to tell you if there's a voice he can't do.
