Chris Kelly is a former Operations Manager and Program Director who years ago left the grind of corporate radio to support the industry from the other side of the equation, now working for a worldwide known radio production and imaging company.
In a voice-over world where everyone behind the mic wants to show off their "pipes," Chris does not. He focuses on an authentic and genuine delivery to, as he's always coached his staff over the years, "pretend you're sitting in the passenger seat of a car, just talking to your friend." Youthful, fun and matter of fact, his wheelhouse is copy where the listener or viewer is taken on a journey. To see or hear things maybe a different way than they've seen or heard, so many times before.
He speaks many, many different languages... like English, and English. And 8th grade level Spanish. He does many voices, like "Just Woke Up" and "Had a Few Cocktails." Or one that clients really seem to like: "The Way He Talks to His Dog Charlie."
In all seriousness, Chris is a pro. No, he doesn't do a killer Arnold Schwarzenegger impersonation... but 95% of voice-over needs in 2016 should just need a real, genuine person to connect. And that he is.
He brings creativity to anything he tackles, whether in voice-over, writing (you can check out some of his writing at (Website hidden)/@ckradio961), working on full blown marketing or digital campaigns to little things like creative landscaping projects around the house. He once bought a boat with the explicit purpose of sinking it in his yard and turning it into a planter bed. True story. Hey, he lives in Florida.
His chief philosophy is "it's about good writing." He likes complex, intelligent wording and phrasing. If you write like Aaron Sorkin... Chris Kelly will nail your copy.
