I have been doing live theatre since I was 12 (back in 1983).
I am licensed to teach English, public speaking, and drama in Michigan and Ohio. I taught drama, English, and public speaking for seven years before travelling with the United States Navy for four years.
I have directed every level of amateur theatre, from 2nd grade through adult community. I am the dialect coach for Chaminade Julienne High School's Theatre department (in Dayton, Ohio), teaching actors the different dialects needed for various shows.
I have raised four children and I read to each of them for years, giving voices to the characters in the books. That may seem unimpressive, but there is no one like a toddler to point out if I am doing a voice "wrong"--meaning differently than the night before.
