Broadcast journalist/newscaster, sports producer/sportscaster, producer/announcer for advertising/public service announcements over a 12-year period. Won a National Association of Government Communicators Award for writing/producing/narrating a documentary on changing race relations in the Army 10 years after the death of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. After a career in public affairs as mostly a writer and agency spokesperson since 1988, I have recently re-entered the arena of using my voice for narrating training segments for the Oak Ridge National Laboratory under a contract. I would like to do more narrations in the future.

Hosted/produced football pregame/post-game shows and did play-by-play for the Big Ten (Univ. of Illinois), 1967-69. Play-by-play for regional coverage of the Illinois State High School Basketball Tournament in 1968 over statewide network. News and documentary writer producer/announcer for Armed Forces Network programming (syndicated), 1973-82, including a daily news feed service I initiated and expended over five years. Advertising and public service writing/production/announcing over the period 1973-81, overlapping much of my news work. From (Phone hidden), was a free lance writer and public relations specialist for the Martin Agency of Richmond, Virginia, working in the Virginia Beach office. From (Phone hidden), was a public affairs specialist and spokesman on a national and international level for the Army Training and Doctrine Command, National Education Goals Panel and the National Science Foundation. Organized and led several major press conferences, including handling emcee duties for these events for the Army at the Pentagon and NSF at the National Press Club. Since becoming a consultant, have done many public relations writing projects, and recently produced voice-overs for a training program at the Oak Ridge National Laboratory. These are now in production.
