I am a life-long musician. I have played trombone for over 30 years, and have a degree in classical trombone performance from Indiana University. During my senior year at IU, I joined ska band Johnny Socko. I was on the road almost continuously for 4.5 years playing across the country and with acts such as The Dave Matthews Band, Peter Frampton, George Clinton and the P-Funk All-Stars, Blues Traveler, No Doubt, and a host of others.

Following my time in Johnny Socko, I was a trombonist and audio engineer in the US Air Force Heartland of America Band for 4.25 years. During this tenure, I was a section player and soloist on trombone, but also a vocalist performing with a barber shop quartet and as a narrator with the concert band.

In 2002 I rejoined the private sector in the HiFi Audio industry. Public speaking at training seminars became a regular task.

I am currently a trombonist and vocalist with rock band Coolidge. I also play regular solo acoustic guitars shows performing both original material and a broad spectrum of cover tunes (no genre is safe!). My vocal range spans true bass through rock tenor (D2-A4, can stretch the high end). I regularly play tunes spanning all musical styles, and I am a proficient sight-reader in all clefs.
