About Corey Maddox

Overview

My voice is very good for many types of recordings.

Announcer/Narrator is medium tone and has a very straight forward feel to it.

Children is kind of tough for me. I can do lines as a real young boy, but cannot scream while doing that type of voice.

Teen voices are my specialty as I am a late teen and I also have just a very fresh sound to my voice when I do teens, but they have to usually be high or medium toned male voices.

I have been known to do female voices as well, but they can be in any range.

Adults, I have a very business type tone to when I voice act, or a very strict voice.

Seniors are fun to play as I sound very wheezy and well, ... old.

Education

I am currently taking voice lessons (singing) under Dr. Tamara Harper-Watson at Reinhardt College. I have also studied Opera and Musical Theater under Dr. Tamara Harper-Watson for a 6th month (also at Reinhardt College) period as part of my degree. This including improv, acting and reacting skills, and how to channel emotions.

In the actual business I have only had the chance to audition for 1 real Japanese animation dub over, but because it was out of state and college was about to start I had to turn it down, but that would have been my first professional audition.

I consider myself a professional in the sense that I was invited to audition for a professional role.
