Greetings! My name is Rich Hobbs and I have lots of experience in announcing...both live and recorded. I graduated from, Broadcast Professionals, located in Tigard, Oregon. After graduation I was hired as a DJ for DJDY, located in John Day, Oregon. I worked for two years on KJDY radio. I was their full-time, daytime DJ. I was responsible for creating and recording 50-60 commercials a week, with sometimes as little as an hour lead time until they had to be on the air. I was also responsible for 30-40 PSA's a month. For the last nine months I was at KJDY, I was responsible for creating nearly all the commercials as the boss, and morning DJ, Phil Gray, was seriously injured in a car accident. At times I was on air in excess of 50 hours a week! While I was in Eastern Oregon I also was the announcer for various functions such as a demolition derby, drag races, the Senior Prom at the local high school and many others. Upon moving to Santa Cruz California, I obtained employment with Music Now Disc Jockey Services. I DJed all types of events including weddings, proms, reunions, holiday parties (sometimes in costume), karaoke, even memorials! After five years with Music Now. I was hired as the house Dj for a local facility called Peachwoods. I was responsible for all DJ, video, and audio needs at this site for two years. The highlight of my announcing career was 2001, when I performed at 105 events in one year, most of them weddings. Believe it or not not I have been the master of ceremonies for as many as FOUR weddings in one weekend! I have also been an actor. I have acted in a few stage presentations including Lillian Hellmans' "Little Foxes". I portrayed big brother Ben. I have a excellent command of the English language and been complimented for my voice many, many times I hope to be of service in any way I can in the years to come. Yours Truly, Rich Hobbs
